Don’t let them get away with this kind of transparently false propaganda. Make the connection between your bottled water, soda etc, and petroleum. If you need a soft drink, opt for aluminum cans or glass bottles. Say no to plastic bags. Resolve for 2011 to completely cut unnecessary plastic out of your life. Tell your friends to watch this six minute TED talk about the reality of plastic.
